CAC-War Kitty – Beat 5-1
Okay, as promised: Here is a beat/loop that I recently created.  It has yet to progress into anything beyond this point.
I did this from scratch using Operator (Ableton). Fun.
I’ll post more beats/loops for sure.

New Category : Beats/Loops

October 28th, 2008 · No Comments

I’ve decided that I’m going to start a new tag/category. It’ll be for Beats & Loops.
The beats/loops I’m going to post will just be short clips of a riff or sequence that I have been working on. These clips will represent the starting point for what may develop into a complete composition of [...]

Git Yer Goat : New Stuff

October 23rd, 2008 · No Comments

Git Yer Goat by CAC-War Kitty

‘Git Yer Goat’ is my latest ambient groove soundscape musical adventure.  It’s really a slow burn to the full on rage of a hedonistic romp. But, you decide.
Almost all of the sounds/instruments were created from a single sample. In this case: a goat blatting… also heard in the music. The [...]

Humbug : Flu

October 21st, 2008 · No Comments

I have the flu…
Influenza, commonly known as (“the”) flu, is an infectious disease of birds and mammals caused by RNA viruses of the family Orthomyxoviridae (the influenza viruses). The name influenza comes from the Italian: influenza, meaning “influence”, (Latin: influentia).

I don’t have to tell you… it happens.
But, I have been working on the ambient soundscape [...]

Another Synth… ?

October 16th, 2008 · No Comments

I needed another synth like I needed a… whatever.
So, I fell in with Abletons ‘Operator’.  I don’t have a real dedicated FM synth in my stable and Operator is an FM synth that I will put to good use. I’m really pretty excited about it.  Plus, it’s just another thing I’ll have to learn.
You know [...]

You Use Me

October 15th, 2008 · No Comments

You Use Me
I feel the hollow in the night
When I lay next to you
And I think about the same things I always do

You say its been like this for quite a while
We don’t see it the same way
And you’re just checking out
You leave sayin’ thank God

And all the while

You use me
Use me
You use me

Promo: ‘Sampler 1′ Cover Art

October 14th, 2008 · No Comments

This is what the cover art for ‘Sampler 1′ looks like.
‘Sampler 1″ is the umbrella that will house the MP3s in my new promo package.  It will contain about 12 songs/compositions that cover my production for 2008.  It should also give a good indication of the many styles I like to work in.
It truly is [...]

… a great product to travel with

October 11th, 2008 · No Comments

At a friends direct, I was parusing the Terra Plana web site to view their collection of shoes… way to expensive for me.
I ran across this Po-Zu shoe cream: Yikes… they actually sell this stuff ($15).  I’m not surprized about that… only the way they are marketing it.
Po-Zu launched a totally unique product; coconut oil [...]

Old Friends Found

October 9th, 2008 · No Comments

I was rummaging through my closet looking for whatever and I found them.  Them: an old pair of sneakers I had forgotten about.  They were like, I don’t know, 10 or 15 years old easy.  I thought I had thrown them away or somehow gotten rid of them.
I can’t remember why I had thought to [...]
